Male Voice Choir

From the first thoughts in autumn 1964 of starting a singing group in Banbridge Baptist Church, the Male voice choir has developed over the years.   Under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Simpson it was in 1967 that the choir decided to have a Male Choir Festival on the 25th November in the Iveagh Cinema which led to it being held at this venue for many years.   It was in 1985 that the Festival was moved to its present venue of Banbridge Baptist Church.

In 1971 when Pastor Simpson was called to a Baptist church in Scotland, Mr. Winston Annett, a choir member, was asked to take over the leadership.  He is now ably assisted by Mr. Jack Wills.  They sing at Gospel meetings, Missions, Church services and nursing homes.

The Banbridge Choir have traveled all over Northern Ireland singing and testifying to God’s saving Grace.  The Choir have also traveled to England, Scotland, Wales and Dublin for Male Choir Festivals

The Choir extends a warm welcome to men who have a testimony to God’s saving grace to come and join them to serve the Lord in this way. Choir practice is held on Monday Nights from 8:00pm to 9:30pm September to May each year.
